HOW TO HARD BOIL EGGS
Perfect easy-to-make appetizer or snack. Here’s how to make them in just three simple steps!
- Scrambled, over-easy, poached or fried—there’s countless ways to have your eggs. But none are quite so versatile as the hard-boiled version. Hard-boiled eggs are a fantastic snack on their own, not to mention they dazzle as a crowd-pleasing appetizer when used to make traditional Deviled Eggs. Here, we show you how to hard boil eggs in three simple steps.
- Place eggs in single layer in 2-quart saucepan. Cover with cold water at least 1 inch above eggs. Cover saucepan and heat to boiling. Immediately remove from heat; let stand covered 15 minutes, then drain. Immediately place eggs in cold water with ice cubes or run cold water over eggs until completely cooled.
- To peel, gently tap each egg on counter-top until entire shell is finely crackled. Roll gently between hands to loosen shell.
- Starting at large end, peel egg under cold running water to help remove shell.
